Walking into a dental office can be overwhelming for any child, but for children with sensory sensitivities, neurodiverse needs, or dental anxiety, the experience can be especially daunting.

Dr. Sara El-Sherbini is a board-certified pediatric dentist with a unique and heartfelt approach to care. Her journey into dentistry began with personal experience—growing up with sensory sensitivities made dental visits difficult until her aunt, a local dentist, introduced her to desensitization techniques that transformed her experience. Inspired by that change and a lifelong interest in science and psychology, Dr. Sara began her career in dentistry from the front desk to chairside assistant, eventually earning her DMD from the University of Florida in 2013.
